tldr;

30.4km / 6 hour hike, train to Thornleigh then ferry back. 586m ascent

Logistics

A short train ride (50-60mins) from Sydney central to Thornleigh, Ferry from Huntley's point terminal to Circular Quay on the way back

Gear

Trail shoes, about 2.5L of water, small carry bag with snacks and lunch. Shorts, T-shirt, overjacket and change of top for the trip back

Probably the easiest of all the sections, not a lot of hills or stairs though there was a fair bit of walking on concrete which was taxing on the feet

Lane Cove river

Some decent bridges along the way, and the boat ride back into the city was welcomed. Not as much as the beer at Circular Quay!
