Completing the Great Northern Walk 250km / 8 Sections

This is how we broke down the GNW into 8 day hikes
Total of ~254km and averaging around about 32km per hike
Total hiking time ~77hours
1 Taxi, 2x Uber, 7 Trains, 8 Hire cars and one hell of a journey

The start of the GNW journey, what went from a single day hike to an obsession to complete the whole thing with just day hikes . We have a number of others join us on different sections.

These blogs hope to give you an idea of the experiences we had from river crossing, clambering up 4x4 tracks, getting lost, running out of water, food and battling rising tides. And the logistics of doing 8 hikes between Sydney and Newcastle.
